To configure your browser to run the demonstrations (.dxdemo files) contained on the BonusPak CD, you will need to add the following to the .mime.types file in your home directory:
dx/dxdemo dxdemoand the following to your .mailcap file, also in your home directory:
dx/dxdemo; `pwd`/dx/bin/dxdemo `pwd` %s
You will then need to either restart your browser or reload the browser configuration files. Also important, you must start your browser from the mount point of the CD. For example,
cd /cdrom mosaic bonuspak.htmlIn general, you will need an enabling license key to run Data Explorer. This can be obtained by purchasing the product through normal IBM channels, or by mailing us at ibmdx@watson.ibm.com.
Note: Enabling Data Explorer is not necessary to view the majority of the BonusPak, but does extend the capabilities to include running the demos that require Data Explorer.
