The data are from a large data base of such broadcast signals. The image shows a portion of the signals being sent from homes in a New York neighborhood back through a cable TV system. From the foreground to the back, the image represents a weeks worth of frequency samples taken every 15 min. The left edge of the image shows a frequency of about 15 megahertz going to the right. The peaks represent stronger levels of signal on the fiber.
