AVS to DX Filters

This directory contains filters for importing native AVS file formats into Data Explorer. The AVS Image Data and Volume Data filters are given as DX macros. They use DX general array importer statements which are imbedded in the macros. The AVS Field filter is called avsfield_to_general. Its input is an AVS native field and the output is a DX general array header file written to standard output. This can be used as a standalone filter or as the first parameter input of the Import tool(using the "!" command):

  This macro imports the AVS Image Data format. The input is the name of the AVS file, and a dx image is output. The output of this macro can be viewed using the Display tool.
• volume_macro.net (view/run it)
  This macro imports an AVS Volume. The input is the AVS filename, the output is a 3-d volume with byte data.
